Electrician in Liverpool & Warrington: Which electrician should I choose?

1) If you are looking for an electrician in Liverpool & find yourself asking 'which electrician should I choose?' then hopefully this article will help you.

From performing a simple Google search, we can see that there are many electricians that appear locally to us. Choosing the right electrician for you is an important decision to make sure that your project runs smoothly. Different electricians may specialise in different types of electrical work. The demands of the modern world place a lot of responsibility on the shoulders of electricians to carry out work in accordance with the wiring regulations and other safety regulations and as such, not all electricians will carry out every type of job that you may require.

2) Industrial, Commercial, Domestic?⚡

I do see that some electricians carry out all types of work across all industries and as such perhaps they are prepared to turn their hand to everything or perhaps they have a large firm with many electricians working there that all specialise in something different. We specialise in domestic works and rarely do much else. Within that, we tend to do more emergency fault finding and repair works along with smaller jobs. We are capable of much more but we specialise in those few areas. This means that when a customer searches for an emergency electrician and needs to know which electrician to choose they can find us easily and know that we are the specialists in that particular area for that particular job type.

3) Who can do the small jobs?👨‍🔧

Getting an electrician in to do those small jobs can be a real task. Many electricians do not want to carry out smaller jobs and prefer to do the bigger and more lucrative works involving one or more rewires or contracts for companies. We are more than happy to carry out smaller works and find that it fits in with our busy diary and leaves us some spare time to carry out the emergency works for our customers which they really appreciate. 😊
Little jobs mean we are in and out to different homes a few times a week and get to help several customers each week rather than one on a big job. If you need to know which electrician to choose to replace that light switch, install a security light, or sort out a trip switch problem then you can certainly give us a call.

4) Trusted?✅

The other thing you should check is that your electrician is part of the NICEIC or NAPIT for example. These two organisations require that your electrician is sufficiently qualified, insured and experienced to carry out electrical work in your home. The NICEIC also carry out annual assessments on their electricians to ensure they are meeting the rigorous high standards required for membership and that they are keeping up with the latest wiring regulations and industry changes to products and safety. We are adequately insured, qualified and experienced to remain in the NICEIC and undergo the assessment process each year checking on our work. The NICEIC also offer a 6-year platinum promise.

5) From their website….what is the Platinum Promise?

"Put simply, our Platinum Promise is an extra layer of protection. In the unlikely event that an NICEIC registered business carries out work which turns out to be non-compliant and they have ceased trading, we will step in*. At no extra cost to you, we will employ another NICEIC registered business to come in and fix the issue. It is that simple" (*terms and conditions apply).

6) How much do we charge? How much will the job I want done cost me?💷

Whilst we encourage every customer to contact us so we can organise a quote for them we understand that sometimes you just want a price and you want it now, right? On our costs page, we have outlined typical job costs for typical jobs and whilst these prices do not apply in every situation, we hope that it will give customers a guideline of what to expect for their project. If you do not see your project listed or you have a particular set of requirements then do not hesitate to contact us and we will organise an estimate or quote for you. Our costs page can be found here: https://www.electricalfaultsfixed.co.uk/costs

7) Do you have to come out to quote?🤔

Often with the smaller works it is not cost effective for us or you to visit your home to quote and many smaller works can be quoted or estimated via a little chat and some photographs over Whats App. This is a quick and easy way of getting you your price as efficiently as possible.

8) Not for you?🤷

That’s okay. Not everyone is savvy with phones and WhatsApp and we get that. We are happy to visit you to quote your job in person when we are next quoting or working in your area, you may just have to bear with us for a little while but we will always get out to you.
