4) Local Electricians

We are a local service not a national call centre. If you need an electrician then you will be speaking to one when you phone up. Myself or my partner will answer the phone to you and attend your property to carry out the work ourselves, we DO NOT subcontract any work at any time.

If we are unable to carry out the work when you need us to, we may recommend another electrician business that you are able to call. We have a tiny local network of other trusted electricians that carry out good work.

We cover areas in the North West of England, from Liverpool to Warrington up to the M60. If you are in need of a local Liverpool or Warrington electrician then don’t hesitate to get in touch on 0151 351 4011, 01925 595 980 or WhatsApp and we will do our best to serve your electrical needs.

5) Electrical Emergencies

We specialise in Electrical Emergency services. We have all the test equipment necessary to seek out electrical issues and diagnose problems. Most specialist electrical wholesalers are closed on the weekends and evenings but that doesn’t bother us. We carry a vast amount of electrical stock to be able to repair most emergencies out of hours.

If we do need parts for your particular electrical system that we don’t carry in stock, we will make the electrics safe and give you a written quote of the costs to put the electrics right once we have the parts.

6) Years of Experience

We have many years of experience in finding electrical faults and repairing electrical systems that have gone wrong. Finding the right qualified electricians to fix your emergency problem is vital when time is of the essence and we have the specialist experience in tracing and diagnosing faulty wiring.

Electrical Installations that need electrical repairs require the best electricians for the job to find the right electrical circuit that is causing the problem, tracing which socket is one of the faulty sockets or tracing the issue that’s causing the power cut.

As an URGENT WEEKEND ELECTRICIAN LIVERPOOL, most of our work is electrical fault finding, testing and inspection. This means that most of our time is spent tracing problems and putting them right.

7) Fault finding

What is fault finding

You may already know that a switch is tripping and assume the switch is faulty right? Well, its probably NOT the electrical switch that is faulty at all. Its more than likely 9 times out of 10 that there is an electrical fault somewhere in the wiring or one of the appliances is on its way out.

As specialist fault finding electricians we trace and diagnose WHY the switch is tripping. Then we either repair, make safe and get the power back on. Some electrical faults are cheap, quick, and straightforward to fix and others involve some more time and cost with the possibility of further repairs being necessary in the coming days.

Using specialised electrical test equipment and correctly interpreting the results is absolutely crucial to an electricians’ ability to diagnose, trace and repair electrical faults.

We solve most emergencies within the first hour or less

8) Electrical Safety Checks

How many times have you wondered about the safety of your electrics in your home?

Is the consumer unit ok? What actually is a consumer unit and what does it do? What are the parts inside the consumer unit and why are they there?

An electrical safety check from a reputable and trusted company will give you peace of mind. We will not gloss over the important bits; we will spend a good long-time testing and inspecting the electrical system to give you the most thorough picture of the condition of your home electrics.

An electrical safety check is recommended by the IET every ten years for privately owned domestic properties. This means that if your wiring and consumer unit are over ten years old and you have not had a periodic electrical inspection carried out, it is strongly recommended that you do so.

An in-depth electrical safety check / periodic inspection will produce an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). The EICR is a valuable and informative document that will outline the condition of your electrical system, detail any emergency repairs that are necessary and recommend any repairs that are not in line with current electrical codes and wiring regulations.

When you receive the report, you will find a list of Electrical Safety Observations and some codes allocated to those. We offer Electrical Solutions to all issues that are found and enable you to make an informed decision regarding any repairs that are necessary.

The codes are as follows:

  • C1 – Fix now, live parts exposed and immediate remedial action is required.
  • C2 – Potentially dangerous and urgent remedial action is required.
  • C3 – Recommended improvement, not to current wiring regulations or poorly installed electrics.
  • Note – Nothing serious or nothing related to the electrical installation but we though you should be informed.

9) Flickering Lights in Liverpool

If you have flickering lights then there could be power surges or localised power outages in your area. It could also be something a little more serious.

Flickering lights can be caused by fuse box problems, loose connections, a failing circuit breaker or other causes. Regardless of the cause, it is important that this problem is found quickly as without immediate action there could be a risk of electrical fires.

10) Crackling Plug Sockets in Liverpool

A crackling plug socket is likely to be down to a dangerous situation that has occurred. There are many possible causes including, damaged plug socket , faulty wiring and loose connections.

Where a plug socket is crackling, it is important to have it checked immediately. This crackling sound is the sound of electrical current jumping a gap (arcing) as it struggles to flow through the circuit. The temperatures generated by this process are very high and can lead to an electrical fire if left without repair.

This is definitely an electrical emergency situation and its important to call and emergency electrician Liverpool straight away. Shut off the power supply to the sockets at the trip switch on the electrical panel and call us.

11) Fuse box Hot or Burning

Where you discover that the fuse box or consumer unit is hot or if there is smoke then it is vital that you call a 24-hour emergency electrician immediately.

If it is safe to do so then you must turn off the power to the property as soon as possible using the Main Switch which is at the consumer unit or near to it.

A quick repair is very important to prevent the problem from becoming worse. Emergency call outs are there for this type of reason. Where smoke or heat are coming from the fuse board or consumer unit, it is likely that there is significant damage inside to the residual current device, main switch, circuit breaker and wiring.
