Electric Induction Hob

There are many advantages to an Electric Induction Hob over gas hobs and standard Electric Hobs. Electric Induction Hobs are easy to clean, tend to cook food quicker than other hobs and whilst they still get hot to the touch, they do not get as hot as other hobs.

Many Electric Induction hobs come with a simple 13 amp plug top attached to them so they can simply plug straight in. Perhaps you need us to come and wire an extra socket near to your hob so you can plug this straight in? Whilst this is nice and straightforward and nearly always the easier option we always recommend making sure that the electric induction hob has its own dedicated power supply from its own circuit.

We have had a few customers tell us that despite following the manufacturer’s instructions on use and connection, their hobs do not work at full capacity as they are choked by a 13 amp plug connection.

Most new hobs and ovens manufacturer’s will recommend that your appliance has been afforded the most up to date and proper protection at the Fuseboard / Consumer unit. When we come to quote for you we can check that your Electric Shock Protection device is present and of the required type.

If you are considering a new appliance such as an Electric Induction Hob then call us to come and quote to install it for you. We will ensure that the work is carried out safely in accordance with BS7671 and the manufacturers recommendations.
