Local Electrician in Liverpool & Warrington

How do I find a local electrician?

The best way to find a “LOCAL ELECTRICIAN” is to perform an internet search for one.

When we say we are local electricians, we mean that we serve your area, we are within 15 miles of you as the crow flies and we are able to carry out any electrical work that you may need us to.

Often, electrical firms, national companies and other businesses will advertise that they are local when in fact they are a call centre that simply phone local electricians in your area on your behalf and charge a fee for doing so. If there is a problem with the electricians work then you will often be stuck dealing with a call centre somewhere in the country and things can get quite stressful.

The best thing to check is the Google reviews of the company that you are going to use. Check the website for a local phone number, photographs and videos that the company have produced of their electrician(s) carrying out work or talking about electrical topics. Check to see where the company is located on Google maps and see if they are truly local or a national call centre.

You can look up the company name to see where the registered office address is, who the directors are and so on.
Large national companies will likely have a call centre where you get a different person each time, its best to find an electrician that you know the name of and that you can talk to in person about your job. You are much more likely to get a better result if you can communicate directly with the person that will be carrying out the work for you. 😊

How do I know if they are any good?

Well, there are a number of things to look for when establishing if a local electrician is going to do a good job. Things like a website with information and articles about different electrical issues is a good start. If the business owner is putting out video and written information for their customers then they have invested in their business and are not a fly-by-night operation.

Every business should have a website these days, it is a great way of promoting business and letting customers see what kinds of services are offered. It also lets customers know that the business is there to stay.

For a “LOCAL ELECTRICIAN” a good number of Google reviews is also vital, the more the better. Gone are the days of the big phone book directory with printed ads and no clue who to call. You can check the business out before you buy these days and why shouldn’t you? Businesses can put photographs of their work out there on the internet to show you what they do and what your project might look like. Its all about consumer confidence and a business that is not scared to show you what you are looking for is a good thing.

If lots of people have given positive reviews then it is likely you will also have a positive experience with your electrical project too.

Do I need a specialist?

Some electricians will specialise in different things. There will be soffit lighting specialists, rewire specialists, fault finding specialists and so on. Most electricians can carry out most electrical work for you so it is not always necessary to find a specialist electrician for you project. However, if you had a large outdoor garden lighting project then it may be better to find a garden lighting specialist with many previous lighting jobs to show you for ideas and to showcase their work.

An electrician that specialises in rewiring homes will generally be geared up for and able to complete the rewire more quickly and efficiently than a general electrician.

Why is local important?

When you use a local business, you are often able to meet the electricians that are carrying out the work unless the firm is very large and employs several teams of electricians and apprentices. You will likely be able to talk to other local customers to see what their experience was. You may be able to see other local jobs that have been completed and inspect the quality of the work. A local business also supports the community and offers employment to those in the community. Smaller local businesses give the personal touch and normally provide just one point of contact rather than different people every time you need to discuss something.

If we can help in any way, just get in touch using our no hassle, no fuss contact form. We promise not to sales call you or sell your details to the lowest bidder in every country on the globe.

We will read your message personally and reply to you in whatever manner you tell us is best for you, a phone call, an email, a WhatsApp message or carrier pigeon if its best. 😊
