1) If you are searching for an emergency electrician near me then you are probably dealing with an electrical issue.

Welcome to our website. There is a HUGE section of blogs which are like mini articles, help sheets and snippets of information that you may find useful.

If you are in need of an emergency call out then you have come to the right place. We are local Warrington and Liverpool electricians. There are two of us to help you. We cover all areas between Leigh and Liverpool along the M62 and surrounding. We work out of hours and we are happy to undertake emergency callouts.

We regularly get calls from DIY enthusiasts that have made a mess of electrical wiring, cut through cables, nailed through cables, damaged a fuse board or consumer unit and perhaps realise that they may be out of their depth on an ambitious project. Whatever your needs just use our contact form to get in touch for a quote, provide as much detail as you can and we will get in touch really quickly. If you have a more urgent request and need attendance straight away then we can also help with this. It is best to call is this is the issue.

5) Can you fix everything immediately?

Generally, yes. Nearly everything can be fixed on site first time or within a few hours if special parts are needed. Shops may be shut but we carry a huge supply of electrical stock, parts and spares for the sole purpose of being able to repair every installation as quickly as possible. If we do not have the parts on the vehicle at the time we normally have access to our lockup to obtain them there 24/7.

6) What if my consumer unit is really old and broken?

In these cases we will make a sound engineering judgement on the condition and age of the consumer unit. We may recommend a new consumer unit and quote you for the repairs / replacement. We do carry spare consumer units in stock / on the van and are able to replace these when necessary. This is a big job best carried out during normal working hours but can be done at any time if there is no other option. We require access to ALL electrical points in the property for testing purposes which can be a little disruptive in the middle of the night.

9) How long will it take to fix my problem?

Every problem is different and will take a different amount of time to fix. Typical problems and average fix times are below:

  • Trip switch won’t stay on 1-2 hours to diagnose or diagnose and repair.
  • Burnt wiring – 1 hour to make safe plus a possible quote.
  • Flickering lights – 1-2 hours to diagnose and repair.
  • Nail through cable – 1 hour to make safe and quote for repair during normal hours.
  • No power – 1 hour for tracing. Several hours if damaged fuse board potentially.

I hope that you can see that there are a multitude of issue that can have occurred within an electrical installation and it’s very difficult to be able to quote without performing diagnostic work first. Don’t worry, we will not go over the first hour without talking to you about the problem and there is no obligation to use our services beyond the first hour.

10) How long does a fridge freezer last without power?

Most modern appliances will keep food sufficiently frozen for 24 hours if left UNOPENED. Do not be tempted to open the door to see how its going, that will not help anyone! Refrigerators will only last around 4 hours before starting to become a problem.

12) What if further works are needed?

After our diagnostics on your electrical system there will be occasions where we need to provide you with a quote if the repair is not straightforward, requires parts or will take a few hours. If further works are needed then we will provide you with a quote in writing and will carry out repairs as soon as you require them to be done.

13) We absolutely need power can you help?

If your electrical system is very old, has failed completely or has become too dangerous to leave energised then we will often be able to install a temporary power supply for you. This is intended ONLY to provide minimal power to keep Fridges and Freezers running, to charge phones and provide a couple of household floor lamps etc. It is NOT a complete replacement for your electrical system and is NOT intended for long term use.

We carry these rigs ready made and able to be installed within a few hours to ensure that you have some power available to you. These may be necessary where, for example, a rewire is required and you wish to obtain a couple of quotes first or where parts need to be ordered to repair something.

If you need an emergency electrician near me or an emergency electrician in Liverpool, as long as you are in our covered areas then we will be glad to help. Contact us today.
