1) If you're looking for a “Local Electrician Liverpool” then you have come to the right site.
I am clearly concentrating really hard in this picture installing this light fitting, up a ladder and in the roasting summer heat.
We are a small family company based across Liverpool and Warrington and covering all areas in between. Most of our works are small jobs, emergency calls and power restoration.
Back to top2) How do I find a Local Electrician Liverpool?🔎
If you remember the great big yellow directory book back in the day where you would trawl through there looking for a carpet fitter, joiner or electrician and pick the biggest most professional looking advert then you will remember what a headache it was trying to find a good trusted tradesperson!
Things have changed. That big book and all the others have been swept aside to a great extent and the internet and in particular, Google seems to be the way forward. Sure, there are other search engines on the internet but none bigger than the world famous Google.
Back to top3) How does that help find a local electrician?🕵️♂️
Well, all we have to do now is enter our search term into the box at the top and the search engine spits out lots of different results for us to look at. Same problem as the directory book from days gone by but now all the results are on a screen.
There are a few key differences. Instead of asking neighbours and friends for a good electrician, there are Google reviews where customers have left their own impressions of the service provided by the tradesperson or business for all to see. Each business appearing in the BUSINESS section of Google where the map is shown have a star rating and another number next to them. The star rating is how many stars on average they have been awarded by customers and the other number is the amount of customer reviews they have amassed.
Reading through the reviews themselves will let you know if the reviews are legitimate and if the customers were happy with the service.
Google businesses on maps also tell you how many years the company has been in business so you know they are not a fly by night operation.
Back to top4) Check the website out!💻
Beneath the maps section there will be a section where different companies appear with a website listing for each one. Its worth having a look at each website to see which electrician you think may be good. There are a few key things to look for on websites.
✅Check for photographs of their work or jobs. Some companies will watermark their photographs so you know they are real and belong to that company.
✅Check for useful information. A good electrician or electrical company will have lots of useful articles and information for their customers to help them decide to use their service and make informed decisions. This also lets you, the customer, know that the company are knowledgeable and able to undertake the job you require.
✅Check for faces and videos. A good electrician or company will have nothing to hide and not have an issue showing their face. This is a great way to help you, the customer, feel at ease before calling the company. You already know the kind of person that will attend your home before they arrive. 😊 Even if we are a bit ugly.
✅If a company has taken time to write articles and produce lots of useful content for their website then they take great care in their business and pleasing their customers.
Back to top5) Are they insured and qualified?💭
All electricians should carry insurance and be qualified to carry out electrical work. A great way of checking if your electrician is qualified and insured is to ask for their competent persons scheme registration number. We are registered with the NICEIC and our number is 610377.
Electrical competent persons schemes like the NICEIC carry out annual inspections to make sure that their contractors are correctly insured and qualified along with making sure they can carry out electrical installation and testing work safely.
Back to top6) What do you need an electrician for?🤔
If you need a “Local Electrician Liverpool” then ask yourself what you want the electrician for. Different electricians will specialise in certain types of electrical works for instance.
If you need a property rewire then you need to find a property rewire specialist. We do the occasional rewire BUT we are not specialists, so if you need a rewire then whilst we do a good job, we may take slightly longer than a specialist and unless the property is empty, we will not normally undertake this job. A rewire specialist will often work in occupied properties and be happy to undertake these types of rewires. If you need a recommendation then we are happy to help.
If you need an electrical fault found, emergency electrical help or small jobs carrying out then THAT is what WE specialise in. Not that we can’t carry out other works for you but you would not take your FORD to a VAUXHALL garage if you needed repairs. The VAUXHALL garage may well be able to repair your car and do a good job but there could be things that take longer because they don't do that job DAY in DAY out. 😊
Having said all that, whatever your project is, get in touch and if we cannot help you or think you may be better off in someone else’s hands then we will point you in the right direction.
